Talk Summary
This talk will explore what it means for art to be interactive, beyond the concept of the environment influencing a piece. Instead, what if a piece influences the environment? What if a project is capable of interacting with other projects? In addition to exploring these topics, some technical and practical approaches to accomplishing these things will be discussed.

Shawn Silverman is an LED artist and educator who is passionate about integrating software, hardware, and communication protocols that enable interactive art. He currently resides in Oakland, California.
